Ingredients
0.5tspBaking Powder
125gButter
softened
150gCaster Sugar
1 - Egg
1pinchSalt
270gSuperValu Plain Flour
1tspVanilla Extract
To Decorate
60gFondant
icing, cut into circles for eyes
20gIcing Powder
mixed with 1 tsp water to make a paste
1 - Red and Brown Sweets
of choice for antlers and nose
Method
Preheat oven to 180˚C. Beat the sugar and butter until pale.
Add in the egg and vanilla extract and combine.
Sieve the flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl.
Combine with the wet ingredients until a dough forms.
Refrigerate for 1 hour, this will make it much easier to work with.
Roll the dough to a thickness of ¼ inch.
Cut the shapes out in a heart to make your reindeer face.
Lay the cookies on a baking tray and cook for 6-8 minutes.
Cool on a raised wire rack and decorate with sweets and coloured icing. Enjoy!
