At SuperValu, we know that shopping as a coeliac or with a strict diet can often be difficult. So, to make it easier for you, we have filled our shelves with a wide range of delicious gluten free food, giving you lots of healthy options.

Your certificate of expenditure

As you probably know, certain gluten free products purchased are also tax deductible. So, to make it easier for customers who have been diagnosed with the coeliac condition to claim tax back on our gluten free products, we can provide you with a certificate of expenditure which shows you how much you have spent using your SuperValu Real Rewards Card.

How your certificate is calculated

The amount on your certificate is calculated only against products which are specifically designed for the coeliac customer alone. Food such as rice cakes or soup that are gluten free but not necessarily for coeliac’s alone are not eligible for tax exemption. The result is that your total may appear lower than you had envisaged. The amount may also vary if you do not use your Real Rewards card every time you shop as we can only track taxable spend against Real Reward card purchases. 

How to request a coeliac report

Call us on 0818 22 00 88 (Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm) and we will help you to get the information you need.

Please note that certs are only to be used by shoppers to give an indication of how much they potentially spent on coeliac product – the onus is on the individual shopper to verify with receipts the correct amount to claim back.
