Naturally Cordial
Clodagh Davis has a background in Organisational Psychology and Human Resources and has always enjoyed working within business – particularly food/beverage manufacturing.
She started Naturally Cordial in 2013 after being made redundant with the decision to turn a hobby of making cordial into an enterprise. Having successfully applied for New Frontiers Phase 2 in WIT and Food Academy Start, the business has grown rapidly, and she is in the process of employing extra people to help her. Cloadagh joined Food Academy in 2014.
Based in the sunny Co. Wexford, Naturally Cordial uses Irish soft fruit from friends and neighbours, combined with organic citrus fruit, to create their original cordials. Since their beginning, Naturally Cordial has been made with 50% less sugar than the traditional recipe they follow.
Working with the Food Academy helped put a structure to some of the changes we had planned for our product such as updating labels and that has helped us move the business forward more quickly and grow it.
