O'Flynn's Gourmet Sausage Company
O’Flynn’s Gourmet Sausage Company are Cork sausage makers, who produce their gourmet range of sausages using local ingredients whenever possible. 3rd generation sausage maker Declan O’Flynn founded the company, carrying on a tradition that stretches back to his great-grandfather, who made sausages in Blackpool on the north side of the city. Their stall in Cork’s English Market has been a major attraction for 19 years, supplying sausage lovers with an incredible choice of their own sausages, inspired by recipes from here and abroad. Their grill on Winthrop Street is a big hit with locals and tourists who fancy modern, inviting cuisine based on outstanding sausages. They have recently opened a restaurant on Western Road, which has been a huge hit with the students. They continue to expand their award-winning range, experimenting with new tastes and influences to show there is no such thing as a humble sausage.
SuperValu provided key retail insights and advice to O’Flynn’s Gourmet Sausage Company as part of the Food Academy Programme. We now stock O’Flynns sausages nationwide in SuperValu Stores. SuperValu are also providing O’Flynns with an opportunity to showcase their new Gluten Free Range, made with 95% meat. Crucially, SuperValu provides a way for O’Flynns to grow nationwide and create employment locally.
O’Flynn’s Gourmet Sausage Company employs about 40 people across their retail, restaurant and manufacturing sites. They also support local charities and events in the background to give back to their community.
